Being Positive–The Cancer Curmudgeon Way

I know my posts tend to be, well, curmudgeon-y. I do find the pink power “you can do this” stuff a little distasteful. But that is not to say I mind all kinds of encouragement type of quotes or graphics or etc.

Here is something encouraging, almost like the “fight” language, for the cancer malcontents.

    1. Meow indeed! You know I am a pet sitter right. Am typing this with a Malti-poo in my lap right now–I once posted a cranky essay on here with a nice interruption of cat-on-keyboard language smack in the middle–bet that threw readers, “what does she mean by 34567890-dfghjkl?”
So that is why some posts or even how I talk is animal oriented (During my every 3 weeks Herceptin treatments I considered myself as on the cancer center’s short leash, and now that I only go every 6 months for check ups, I’m on an extendable leash)! We must chat about your dogs sometime.

  1. I agree. There’s encouragement and then there’s encouragement. Love this kind! Awesome that you are a pet sitter.

    1. Pay is not great, but am better off now emotionally and mentally than I was a year ago. I know my sarcastic ways may not reflect that, but at least I got my fighting spirit back after leaving previous job. In the past I would’ve been too depressed to even care enough to have a blog.
