Early August 2013, I reblogged and/or linked to a post by my tumblr buddy lux-fiam called On Loving a Sick Body. (On WordPress, here.) She deactivated her tumblr account some time ago, and has no copy of the text of that post. She contacted me last night wondering if I have or know of anyone who might have the text of that post. We think we saw in some comments that someone was posting it on a thyroid cancer site or Facebook page.
Does this post sound familiar to anyone? Or better yet, does anyone have any advice on finding posts that have been deleted (nothing is ever really gone from the internet, right)?
Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi utahgirl here. I found two other blogs. One from October but nothing titled what you are looking for. Sorry.

I love hunts like this, except this one isn’t being fruitful. The search engine used for old internet sites is called “Wayback Machine” here is the link I used to try and find that post, unfortunately, Wayback Machine did not take a snapshot of that post. 😦

I’m thinking that I’d better backup my posts!

Wow thanks for this! I will let her know. Maybe she had a different blog name I do not remember. I seem to think so–like I call myself cancer curmudgeon but my 2 tumblrs are called other things. Hmmmm, will let her know!

I also tried searching Google by copying portions of what text there was and nothing came up except all of the people who re-blogged and re-blogging is nothing more than links to the original article. I guess when we re-blog, we should also copy and paste with a link back to the original then that way, someone is bound to have a copy on their page.
